I'll probably regret asking this, but umm... I'm a bit confused about what are chinese rings... I mean I get they're probably for *wham-bam-thank-you-and-could-you-take-me-to-funky-town* ,but now my curiosity peeked in and.... I want to know, what's the deal with those rings?
Toes, hair, belt buckles, bag buckles, needlework (instead of thimbles, as knitting markers), signet rings, then there are special rings used in archery with Mongolian-type bow... Eh, that is not what everybody who did get the joke was thinking of? *blink* Adults use RINGS? Why in the world would they use rings? (<= rhetorical question)
I find it very strange that you (from USA) and Phobs (Russia) both find the joke funny and I (Balkan) didn't get it. I feel that going deeper into the way of spread of such ideas and practices would be interesting indeed.
Wow, that character in the top middle which looks like it's done with colored pencils, is wonderful! The dark haired guy with the glasses and the scarf looks like a great character, too. I also really enjoy all your Batu & Subutai comics. There's always so much great stuff in your sketchdumps that I don't know where to look!
Well, what can I say? You´re characters are brilliant! I love how expressive they are and the colours you use. I love it when people upload posts like this where it´s a mash of sketches or different faces.
