Well, a lot of people asking me for coloring tutorial,so I tried to make one 8/
So sorry for my english 8((
This is actually a very small doodle (400 pixels), it doesn't suppose to be so big and rude 8/
I'm not a huge fan of dark shadows,orange overlay and all that special effects things, but people asking me about light)

I've been making a huge process just to coloring my drawings, in all the time, instead of having found your tutorial before and have saved my time!  Oh Noes!

why not just use the gradient tool for the lighting instead of creating a whole new layer?

Can somebody explain me, what's the 2nd picture exactly about? Why there is used brown colour and what does mean 'overlay' mode? :)

I do not personally have Photoshop but...
I believe it is saying that you make a new layer over the sketch and you set that new layer to "overlay". After they did that, they coloured brown on the 'overlay' layer and it just coloured the sketch.
